Holy Cross Chapel is located in the heart of Downtown Houston. We are located on the east side of Main Street, between McKinney and Walker. This location is especially convenient for those who
live or work in the downtown area. Whether by car or by tunnel, after
the first time you visit you'll soon realize how convenient it is to regularly
attend our services and events.
***Important: Please do not park on Walker. You will be towed.

I. By
Car
If you are arriving by car, there are a number of garages and open parking
lots near Holy Cross Chapel.
- The most convenient garage is an 11-floor parking garage on the
corner of Fannin and Walker. The charge is $1.00 for every 20 minutes.
After parking, take the garage elevator to the First Floor and upon
exiting the elevator, you will see glass doors before you that enter
the lobby of a building (1001 McKinney). Enter the Lobby and at the
Concierge Desk turn right to exit the Lobby onto Main Street. As you
leave the building, turn right on Main Street about 75 paces,
until you arrive at Holy Cross Chapel.
To arrive
at the garage at Fannin and Walker, take Fannin
(one-way south) if you are coming to Downtown from the north. If
you are coming from the south, take San Jacinto (one-way north)
to Walker. At Walker, turn left and go one block to Fannin. At the
intersection, you can turn left onto Fannin and then immediately right
into the garage. Or continue on Walker across Fannin and then make
a left from Walker into the garage.
- Another convenient option is the new McKinney Garage on Main Street
at McKinney. Enter on McKinney St. The Chapel is directly across the
street from this garage.
- There is a small surface lot on Fannin and Walker, behind the Two
Houston Center. From this lot, cross Walker and walk up Fannin to
McKinney St. Cross Fannin and continue west on McKinney. Then, head
north on Main and walk a few yards to the Chapel.
II. By Underground Tunnel
Holy Cross Chapel is not connected to the underground tunnel system
of Downtown Houston, but 1001 McKinney is one building away and can
be reached by tunnel. Follow the tunnel directions to 1001 McKinney
and exit the lobby of the building onto Main Street. Go to your right
along Main past the Kirby Building to arrive to the entrance to the
Holy Cross Chapel and Catholic Information Center.
III. By Metro Rail
From the Medical Center, Rice University, Museum District:
Take MetroRail Red Line north and exit at Main Street Square Station.
You will be directly in front of Holy Cross Chapel.
From University of Houston-Downtown:
Take MetroRail Red Line south and exit at Main Street Square Station.
You will be in front of Macy’s.
Go to Dallas Street and cross it in the direction away from Macy’s. Turn left and walk north 1.5 blocks to the Chapel at 905 Main St., on the east side of Main.
