Feast of St. Blaise and the Blessing of Throats
Today, Friday, February 3

The Blessing of Throats will be after both Masses.

"Suffering and illness have always been among the greatest problems that trouble the human spirit. Christians feel and experience pain as do all other people; yet their faith helps them to grasp more deeply the mystery of suffering and to bear their pain with greater courage" (Pastoral Care of the Sick: Rites of Anointing and Viaticum).

Altar Linens - Help Needed

The Chapel needs a person or two to help with washing the altar linens. There is a proscribed way to care for these cloths and the volunteers will be instructed in how to wash and iron them. Depending upon the number of volunteers, you may be asked to do them for only one or two weeks. If you are interested in helping with the very important liturgical task, please see Carol. Thank you and God bless you!

Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, and Altar Servers Needed

If you would like to serve at Holy Cross Chapel in any of the above positions, please see Rena or Carol. However, in order to be an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, you must have been trained in your parish. If you would like to be a lector or altar server, we can train you here. We appreciate your help very much!

Kroger Donation Program

The Kroger Donation Program which many use to help the Chapel has been changed and as a result, your Kroger Plus Card no longer works. There are letters in the narthex with our new bar code or click the link below. Please pick one up (or print it out) and take it to Kroger’s the next time you shop. You must present it to the cashier who will code it to your Kroger Plus Card. Fortunately, you only have to do this once. We are sorry for the inconvenience but we appreciate your support very much.
